Return, Exchange, and Refund Policy

At House of Alwar, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of Jutis, Formal Shoes, or Flip-flops. If you are not happy with your order for any reason, we offer a simple process for returns and exchanges.

1. Timeline for Returns and Exchanges

You can request a Return or Exchange for most items within 7 days of the delivery date.

2. Eligibility Conditions for Return

To be eligible for a return or exchange, all items must meet the following conditions:

  • Condition: The product must be unused, unwashed, and in resaleable condition. Footwear must show no signs of wear, dirt, or use on the sole or body, as they should only be tried on indoors on a clean surface.
  • Packaging: All original tags, packaging, invoice, and accessories (if any) must be intact and returned with the item.
  • Damaged/Defective Products: If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

3. How to Initiate a Return

A. The Return Process:

  1. Request: Email us at [Your Company Email: Complaint@houseofalwar.in] with your Order Number. Please clearly state whether you want a Refund, Exchange (for a different size), or Store Credit, and explain the reason for the return.
  2. Pickup Arrangement: If our reverse pickup service is available in your area, we will arrange a pickup of the item within 2-4 business days. If pickup is not available, you will need to courier the item to our designated address.
  3. Inspection: Once the returned item is received, our Quality Control team will inspect it within 48 hours to ensure it meets the eligibility conditions listed above.
  4. Approval/Rejection: Upon successful inspection, your refund or exchange will be approved. If the item is found to be used or damaged, we will notify you, and the item will be shipped back to you.

B. Refund Options:

4. Exchange Policy

  • Exchange Limit: Exchanges are primarily accepted only for size-related issues or for a defective product.
  • Procedure: Follow the standard return request process (Section 3A) and mention the new size you wish to receive.
  • Stock Availability: Exchanges are strictly subject to the availability of the new size in stock. If the required size is unavailable, a refund or store credit will be processed instead.

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are exempt from being returned or exchanged:

  • Items explicitly marked as ‘Final Sale’ or ‘Clearance’.
  • Gift cards or promotional items.
  • Items returned without original packaging, tags, or invoice.

6. Shipping Charges

  • Return Shipping Cost:
    • Our Error: If the return is due to an item being defective, damaged, or incorrect, the return shipping cost will be borne by House of Alwar.
    • Customer Choice: If the return is for a size or fit issue, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping cost, or a nominal fee of ₹100 may be deducted from the refund amount.

7. Order Cancellation

  • Customer Cancellation: You can cancel your order before it has been shipped, typically within 12 hours of placing the order.
  • Cancellation Charges: In compliance with the Consumer Protection E-Commerce Rules, we will not impose cancellation charges on you, unless we also bear similar charges if we were to cancel the order unilaterally.
